



Here’s just a short line I just found doing some research. I think it says it all. Here is the one line that caught my eye:
“So, please… NOTHING IS SET IN STONE. Breakthroughs only
happen when you break rules.”
Isn’t that just so true!
You see it’s not what everyone else does that makes the difference. It is what YOU do differently that will make ALL the difference.
So let’s get your business humming right away with break throughs that will generate you new immediate sales and profits. It is all possible but you won’t get anything without moving from where you are already.




Often directory based published advertisements are written by the publisher of the magazine. Obvious and no problem bar one important thing.
Consider who is their customer. It is you the person paying for the advertisement of course.
The point is they do not know your customer. At least they cannot know them as well as you do. This is important because your advertisement should be directed towards your customer.
Here is where a conflict can occur. Think about it - if you worked for the magazine or newspaper company and your job was to get advertising in, your main focus is on the company paying for the advert. The advert really only needs to please you doesn’t it? After all it only has to satisfy you to the extent you pay the bill.




Did you watch the television programme last night where Gerry Robinson effectively bought two struggling businesses?
One was a pie shop business and one was a very old established family owned furniture company.
Both were really struggling and had just about run out of cash and needed money quick to survive.
So in steps the entrepreneur and rescues them. Oh for a majority share of the business of course!




Okay so here is a hotly debated topic I would be interested in hearing your views on: SPAM!
We all have our own ideas about what this means of course and there are a few laws coming in to arrest the proliferation of this scourge.
As with many laws the innocent get caught up as well because the instrument is rarely a surgical one and often a sledge hammer is used to crack the nut.
So because I principally deal with businesses let’s clear up a few misunderstandings.




This is clever. I have just completed my appraisal of a report explaining exactly how to value any business.
Now at first glance you may well think “So what - why do I need to know that?” Well that’s a good question but if you don’t measure it you cannot count it.
If you then come to a time when you want to sell up, it will be pretty much too late to make any changes that can make any difference to the price you eventually sell it for.
